Measles threat around the world continues to grow: for last year million children were not captured by vaccination

In 2022 after long-term decrease in coverage by vaccination against measles the number of the patients with measles grew by 18%, and number of the dead from an infection – for 43% (in comparison with 2021). In the new report WHO) and the Centers for control and prevention of diseases of United States of America (TsKPZ) the number of the diseased is estimated by WHO at the level of 9 million people, and the dead – at the level of 136 000 people the majority from which make children.
