Seldon News Site Terms of Use
(License Agreement)
These Terms of Use, hereinafter referred to as the Terms, determine the access to https://news.myseldon.com and Services provided through it.
Limited liability company “Seldon Novosti” (OGRN: 5177746310077, INN: 9709018780 and located at 24 Radio Str., building 1, room V, office 12, Moscow 1105005, hereinafter referred to as the Rights Holder, provides access to the Site and the Services provided through it under the terms determined in these Terms of Use, hereinafter referred to as the Terms, to Internet users, hereinafter referred to as the User.
Rights Holder’s Services, hereinafter referred to as the Services, include software applications, including the news.myseldon.com Site and corresponding mobile applications, as well as all other services provided by the Rights Holder related to the use of the Site and mobile applications. The Rights Holder’s Services do not include any services of third parties, which the User may receive by using the Site or its Services.
By using the Site or mobile applications, the User confirms that he/she has read and agreed to these Terms. If the User does not fully or partly agree to these Terms of Use, he/she must stop using the Site and will not be able to get access to it or use its services.
The Rights Holder reserves the right to amend any provisions of these Terms. All amendments come into effect as soon as they are posted on the Site. Further use of the Site and Services by the User after the application of amendments signifies the User’s compliance with such amendments. The User must read the Terms on a regular basis. The User must stop using the Site and Services in case of non-compliance with all the provisions of the amended Terms.

Registration on the Site
Basic access to the Site does not require registration on the Site.
Full access to the Site requires registration on the Site.
Access to additional Services of the Site may require registration on the Site, if such Services are available.
The list of additional Services is determined by the Rights Holder separately; their provision is regulated by separate user agreements.
A personal account is required to use the Site and its Services. In order to create a personal account, the User must sign up a user account requiring a unique name, a password and a valid Email address. The User’s cellphone number and/or Email may be required to confirm the validity of the account. The User may provide additional information during the creation of the personal account. All the information provided by the User for creation of a personal account, including the personal account details, are referred to as the Registration Details. The User agrees to provide accurate, up-to-date and complete information required for creation of a personal account and to timely update the Registration Details whenever they change. The Rights Holder reserves the right to terminate the User’s account in case of inaccuracy or unreliability of the information provided by the User.
The User is fully responsible for the use of his/her personal account. The User undertakes to not disclose his/her personal account details to third parties. The User takes full responsibility for any damage that may be caused by a third party that gains access to the User’s account due to his/her negligence or lack of data protection.
Use of the Site and its Materials; Limitation of Liability
Use of the Site
Exclusive rights to the Site and its comprising software or databases belong to the Rights Holder, i.e. LLC “Seldon Novosti”.
The Rights Holder has the right to set limitations regarding the use of the Site and Services for all Users or certain groups of Users.
The Rights Holder has the right to send information messages to Users. In accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, the User agrees to receiving such information messages. The User has the right to unsubscribe from such messages by sending a notification to the Rights Holder.
The Rights Holder has the right to use the Site materials, as well as survey data, reviews and comments from the Site Users, in statistical and other types of research to develop new services for the Site Users.
Access to the Site is provided free of charge.
Additional services may be provided for a fee in accordance with additional agreements that are appended to this License Agreement.
While using the Site and Services, the User may not:
а) copy, alter, distribute or rearrange any parts of the Site software used to maintain the provision of services;
b) use the information from the Site for commercial purposes;
с) interfere with the Site’s performance;
d) infringe the rights of third parties, including minors, and/or harm them in any way;
e) collect and store personal data of other persons without authorization;
f) assist the activity aimed at violation of limitations or prohibitions, stipulated in these Terms;
g) violate statutory regulations of the Russian Federation, as well as rules of international law in any other way.
Use of the Site Materials
All rights to articles, the quotes from which (links to which) are posted on the Site, including the images in such articles (quotes), belong to the corresponding rights holders. All matters concerning the use of news articles must be discussed with their rights holders. Permission to quote or use the aforementioned materials in any other way can only be obtained from the rights holders of such materials.
All information materials, including video and photo materials, the exclusive rights to which belong to the Rights Holder, referred to as the Rights Holder’s materials, may only be used for non-commercial purposes in the way determined by these Terms with indication of author’s name, title of the material and hyperlink to the Site that hosts the used material.
Use of materials implies reproduction, distribution, public display, broadcasting, transmission via cable, making available to the public, translation, processing and other means of application, set forth by current legislation of the Russian Federation
Use of the Rights Holder’s materials is permitted solely for the purposes, set forth by the legislation of the Russian Federation, namely in Article 1274 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.
The allowed volume of Rights Holder’s materials posted on the Site cannot exceed 50% of the original material, unless otherwise provided for by the Rights Holder.
Limitation of Liability
By using the Site, the User does not acquire any rights to the materials of third parties, except the rights provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
Information and other materials posted on the Site are provided by third parties and/or contain freely available information from public sources. The Rights Holder cannot be held responsible for the reliability of information and other materials of third parties or their content, as well as any consequences caused by using such information.
The Rights Holder does guarantee the accuracy of such information and cannot be held responsible for it.
The use of any materials is carried out by the User at his/her own risk. The Rights Holder cannot be held responsible for loss of profits or other damages caused by using such materials.
Information materials and other data are published on the Site in various languages. The translation of such materials is created either manually or automatically. The Rights Holder does not guarantee the accuracy or correctness of the translations and cannot be held responsible for it.
The Site materials are presented "as-is", therefore the Rights Holder cannot be held responsible for the compliance or non-compliance of the Site and/or its contents with the User's expectations. The Rights Holder automatically indexes, annotates and systematizes the information provided by third parties and/or collected from open sources in order to provide users with the opportunity to search for such information on the Internet. Unless specified otherwise in this paragraph, the Rights Holder does not alter or correct the information in any way.
We do not guarantee permanent access to the Site or its error-free functioning.
The User is solely responsible to third parties for his/her actions related to the use of the Service, including the cases when such actions result in violation of the rights or legitimate interests of third parties, as well as for compliance with the law when using the Service.
The User acknowledges that the Site cannot be accessed without Internet connection. The Rights Holder cannot be held responsible for the quality of communication services, the User’s Internet connection, etc.
The User can stop using the Site at any time. The Rights Holder may restrict access to the Site, Services and/or personal account of any user if there is reason to believe that the user violates any of these Terms or intellectual property rights of a third party.
Advertising on the Site
The Rights Holder is responsible for any advertisements posted on the Site within legal boundaries, determined by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
Complaint Procedure
If the User believes that certain material is posted on the Site in violation of intellectual property rights that belong to the User and/or third parties whose interests you represent, the User can send a written notice of such violation using the contact form on the Site, Email, or send such notice to the Rights Holder's registered address.
The written notice must contain the following:
- Physical or electronic signature of the intellectual property owner or authorized person acting on behalf of the owner, specifying the grounds for the authority to act on behalf of the owner, as well as the grounds for the intellectual rights ownership;
- Indication of materials that are believed to be posted in violation of intellectual property rights with the indication of the URL of the page with such material;
- Statement saying that the party that files the complaint has a good reason to believe that the use of the materials is not authorized by the copyright owner or by law.

Dispute Settlement
The User agrees that any disputes must be settled amicably. If amicable settlement of a dispute is impossible or a response to a claim (complaint) has not been received within 30 days after the claim (complaint) has been sent, all disputes, disagreements or demands pertaining to these Terms shall be settled in Moscow Arbitral Tribunal or a court of general jurisdiction in accordance with subject-matter jurisdiction regulated by the Civil Procedure Code of the Russian Federation.
Before forwarding a dispute to Arbitral Tribunal, the User agrees to send a written claim (complaint) to the following address: 3 Proyezd Elektrolitny, building 12, office 7, Moscow 115230. The Rights Holder must respond to such claim (complaint) within 30 days of its receipt.
These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the substantive law of the Russian Federation
These Terms constitute an agreement between the Rights Holder and the User regarding the access to the Site and the use of the Services, Site, and mobile applications.
Other Terms
These Terms are regulated and construed in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation. All matters that are not regulated by these Terms shall be regulated in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation. All possible disputes arising from relations regulated by these Terms shall be resolved in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Russian Federation in accordance with the standards of the Russian law.
Due to gratuitousness of the services provided through the Site, the protection of consumers' rights standards, provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation, do not apply to the relation between the Rights Holder and the User.
These Terms cannot be construed as the terms of creation, change or termination of legal relationship between the Rights Holder and the User regarding agency relations, partnership relations, joint activities, employment relations, or any other relations that are not explicitly provided for in these Terms.
These Terms of Use are composed in Russian and may be translated and presented to the User in another language. In case of any discrepancies between the Russian version of these Terms and the version of the Agreement in a different language, the provisions of the Russian version of these Terms must be applied.
