General information
Seldon.News is a news aggregator (functioning of news aggregators is regulated by Article 10.4 of the Federal Law as of July 27, 2006 No. 149-FZ “About Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection”) for a wide range of users, where in addition to basic information on certain events or persons, a full range of related reference materials is presented, including statistics and analytics. Seldon News is informational platform where links to professional research, articles and reviews are also collected and systematized (news content is updated around the clock) relating to all spheres of activity.
Website https://news.myseldon.com is an automatic aggregator (an Internet information resource (site or site page) that collects an information feed, a selection of news from various sources automatically, according to specific criteria).
The service provides information on the current state of affairs in the field of international and domestic politics, economics, science, technology, public relations, sports, culture, etc. both in Russia and foreign countries. It is possible to read the materials in Russian and English.

Collection and use of news information
News information is collected automatically from RSS feeds, using the API tool (Application Programming Interface) or by parsing various electronic publications containing publicly available information from open sources, and is provided in citation format (regulated by clause 1, part 1, art . 1274 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation ) with an indication of authorship, while the volume of citations does not exceed the norms established by law.
Information posted by its owner in the Internet in a format allowing automated processing without preliminary changes by a person for the purpose of reuse is publicly available information posted in the form of open data ( Part 4 of Article 7 of the Federal Law of July 27, 2006 No. 149 - Federal Law "About information, information technologies and information protection").
The service selects news using existing algorithms. Information is indexed, annotated and systematized in an automatic mode in order to provide users the possibility to search such information on the Internet. Except the above mentioned actions (indexing, annotation, systematization), Seldon News LLC does not make any changes or corrections to the information and always publishes a direct link to the source.
Placing photographic works on the website https://news.myseldon.com is effectuated in compliance with the standards established by Art. 1274 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, as well as the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works (hereinafter referred to as the Berne Convention) (clause 1 of article 10).
This international act states the following conditions for the application of citation provisions:
the work has been made available to the public;
citations are made bona fide;
the volume is justified by the goal.
Quoting the text brought to the public attention by media, including photographic images, is carried out by Seldon News LLC in good faith, without the purpose of making a profit, solely for informational purposes, to the extent justified by the purpose of quoting, with reference to the source.
In accordance with the law, the owner of the news aggregator is not responsible for dissemination of news information if it is a verbatim reproduction of messages and materials or fragments thereof posted on the official Internetwebsite of a government body or disseminated by mass media, which may be established and brought to justice for violating the legislation of the Russian Federation on the media (Part 2 of Article 10.4 of the Federal Law of July 27, 2006 No. 149-FZ “About Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection”).
Claims consideration
The copyright holder has the right to sendSeldon News LLC in written or electronic form a statement of violation of copyright and (or) related rights (in accordance with the requirements of Part 2 of Article 15.7 of the Federal Law of July 27, 2006 No. 149-FZ "About Information, Information Technologies and on information protection"). The application may be sent by a person authorized by the copyright holder in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
The written application must contain:
- physical or electronic signature of the owner of the intellectual rights or an authorized person acting on behalf of the owner, indicating the basis of authorization to act on behalf of the owner, as well as the basis for ownership of the intellectual rights;
- identification of specific materials that, in your opinion, are posted in violation of intellectual property rights (indicating the URL of the web page on which such material is located);
- statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner or the law.

If incomplete information, inaccuracies or errors are detected in the application, Seldon News LLC has the right to send the applicant, within twenty-four hours from the date of receipt of the application, a notification to clarify the information provided. This notification may be sent to the applicant once.
Within twenty-four hours from the receipt of the notification, the applicant takes measures aimed at filling in the missing information, eliminating inaccuracies and errors, and sends Seldon News LLC updated information.
Within twenty-four hours from the receipt of the application or information specified by the applicant, Seldon News LLC deletes the specified information.
In case Seldon News LLC has the evidence confirming the legality of posting on its website in the Internet information containing the object of copyright and (or) related rights, or information necessary to obtain it using information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet, Seldon News LLC has the right not to take the measures provided for in Part 6 of this article and is obliged to send the applicant a corresponding notification with the specified evidence attached.
