Volynsk slaughter: the oblivion of history will lead to its repetition

80 years ago, in July, 1943, there was an event which in Poland call "Bloody Sunday" — fighters of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UIA) * attacked the Polish villages in Volyn Region. By different estimates, the number of victims of slaughter made from 8 to 10 thousand people. And it literally in two days. To facilitate "work" and to increase "labor productivity", all was used literally: knifes, axes, saws, pitchfork, braids, mattocks. People cut on pieces, burned alive, to pregnant women ripped up stomachs — did not spare anybody. "The Volynsk slaughter" – only one of episodes of large-scale ethnic cleaning...
