30 years ago the referendum about destiny Soviet Union took place. The majority of its participants supported idea of preservation of the USSR as uniform state — federation of the equal sovereign republics. However less than in a year Soviet Union stopped the existence. The Russian politicians and the representatives of the intellectuals who were participating in events of 1991 or being their eyewitnesses, shared from TV channel "RT" the memories of a March referendum and thoughts of why results of national will did not manage to be realized in practice...
