In the press center Abkhazian state television & radio broadcasting company on press conferences the Minister of Agriculture of RA Daur Tarba told
agriculture in the republic. – I admire villagers for their hard work, – Daur Tarba emphasized. – People want to work, only small support is necessary to them. The agriculture always around the world was subsidized, and we too have to help villagers. Our country – agrarian, will not be villages, there will be no traditions, there will be no state. We have to coordinate agrarian sector to the resort sphere. I am the supporter of that any of agricultural products grown up in the republic was not delivered to Abkhazia from the outside.
the Head of agrarian department informed representatives of mass media on delivery agricultural machinery from Russian Federation, results of a season of a plowed land, fight against a marble bug, and also on problems with agricultural products realization.
In comparison with last year the situation in agriculture much more improved, the minister stated. The quantity of the plowed and sowed fields testifies to it, production made in greenhouses and private vegetable farms. If last year farms grew up 3–4 thousand tons of vegetables, this year about 12 thousand are expected. The minister emphasized that private projects perfectly work, and in the markets Abkhazia can be bought kyndygsky cucumbers and tomatoes, strawberry from Adzyubzhi and many other things. Much this year will be also melon cultures.
So good indicators are not present, however, while at gardeners. Orchards in the country became less. The minister reminded that financing the project was suspended by Russian Federation, and the state had on it no available funds. Moreover, the Ministry of Agriculture in two years paid 27 million rubles of debts to peasants, but there is more to come payments.
– the inventory commission which carried out the inventory of all fruit plantings was created Two years ago, – Daur Tarba told. – Them today – 1 340 hectares. As a result of check the commission came to a conclusion that from them 780 hectares are subject to write-off. Other gardens in a good shape. At the closest cabinet council of Ministers of RA the decision on write-off of these areas will be made. And those gardens which in a good shape, will be donated to the working groups working in these gardens.
Separately the minister stopped on a problem of fight against a marble bug. Daur Tarba noted that all areas of the republic are supplied with enough of chemicals for fight against the wrecker:
– Within last year chemicals for the sum of 8 million rubles from budgets were bought by RA. But it it appeared insufficiently for fight against the wrecker. This year at the request of the leaders of our country Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation gave us big help. To Abkhazia there arrived delegation for studying of scales of a problem. Then we in common started fighting against it. For today on areas 2 tons 445 liters of chemicals are distributed. Russian Federation transferred us 137 sprayers. Still we expect 500 pieces. It should be noted that our citizens, and also businessmen, businessmen positively responded to the offer on manual gathering of wreckers, the farmers some of them even created the special working groups. By calculations, in total by manual way 8 tons of a bug were collected. Also there is an opinion that we win against a problem of a marble bug.
the Head of agrarian department also reported that in east part of the republic there was other problem – fungoid diseases of plantings. He told that for their treatment other preparations are necessary. At the expense of budgets the preparation "Topaz" is planned to get Ministry for agriculture RA and to distribute to its farms of Galsky and Ochamchyrsky areas.
Within humanitarian assistance to Abkhazia from Russian Federation 60% of the agricultural machinery included in the special list, including hook-on tools are delivered. All delivered equipment is in Gudautsky MTS and will be shortly distributed on areas. At the same time the minister noted an existing problem with machine operators.
– careless machine operators treated the agricultural machinery received 10 years ago in a barbarous way. Therefore now we will sign contracts under which responsibility for its state will be born by directly machine operator.
Journalists accessory and activity of a vegetable storehouse and the enterprise for processing and honey packing also interested.
– the Asset holder of a vegetable storehouse is RUP "Abkhazprodeksport", – the minister explained. – On the basis of a vegetable storehouse points of formation of cargo columns will be created. This process is started, we provide rooms to representatives of the Russian customs, frontier guards. RUP has to buy vegetables and fruit from the population. This year they accepted a large number of citrus fruits on storage. Freights were formed and went to Russian Federation. This work will develop and further.
As for operation of the enterprise for processing and honey packing, Daur Tarba reported:
– On construction of plant left 37 million 400 thousand rubles. The line is delivered from Italy. For its installation and adjustment commissioning work from Italy the expert was invited. Construction is complete, and the most unique fact is that at it there is the first in Abkhazia laboratory which can carry out the exact analysis of quality of honey. However at the enterprise warehouse are not provided. One more problem is that the plant can let out honey in container with a capacity of 120 grams, but it is not enough of it. We need to let out production in capacities on 250 – 300 grams.
