Sultan Khazalievich Batov, gen. director of PUBLIC JOINT-STOCK COMPANY "NMTP" noted: "The absolute record on transfer was established by grain. Annual growth made 79,4%, and monthly volumes grew by 55,4% – from 765 thousand tons in July to 1 189 thousand tons in August. The monthly volume of transfer exceeded one million tons for the first time since 2013".
Transfer bulk freights during this period made 73 086 thousand tons (-4,7% by the period year before). In category bulk transfer as a whole grew by 36,3%, but in plus only grain and coal (%2B25,8%), and sugar, iron-ore raw materials and chemical freights – in a minus of rather similar period of last year.
In category "general freights" in January-August recorded the general falling for 8,5%. In a minus – ferrous metals and forest freights. But transfer of non-ferrous metals increased for 5,5% (to 781 thousand tons), and perishable — for 475% (to 181 thousand tons). Growth of volumes of transfer of non-ferrous metals was promoted by revival of export of aluminum against growth of quotations in the world market.
