Kronstadt will restore a white beacon by Day of Navy

the Wooden beacon located on Western Ust-Rogatke of Average harbor Kronstadt (Saint Petersburg) will be restored by Day of Navy, is told in the message of regional administration.

According to information received by Administration of the district Kronshtadtsk of Saint Petersburg from the representative of FEDERAL PUBLIC INSTITUTION "UNITED CONSTRUCTION COMPANY ZVO", appearance of a back stvorny sign of Big Kronstadt raid No. 517 will be restored by July 20, 2017, on performance of work the state is signed with LLC "Kompaniya pharmacy chain". Staff of the company started performance of work on June 26, 2017.

the Back stvorny sign of Big Kronstadt raid No. 517 was constructed by br in 1949. Till 2008 the object was operating element of navigation equipment of Big Kronstadt raid, and lost the navigation mission after completion of construction of a complex of protective constructions, as a result of change of a ship waterway of the St. Petersburg sea channel. From the moment of opening Kronshtadtsky rayon Saint Petersburg for free visit by tourists in 1996, "The white beacon" became one of main "postcard views" Kronstadt and one of informal symbols of the city island.
