Moscow. December 13. INTERFAX.RU - the State Duma on Wednesday adopted the law specifying conditions of payment of a maternity capital in the third, final reading. The law provides that since January 1, 2024 the maternity capital will be paid only to the persons having nationality of Russia at the time of the birth of the child and only if the child is the citizen of Russia on the birth. Thus the maternity capital will be paid to inhabitants of new regions irrespective of the basis and terms of acquisition of nationality of the Russian Federation by them.
