The Federation Council approved minimum wage (MW) increase in Russia to 19 242 rubles since January 1, 2024. As expect in the upper house of parliament, growth of an indicator will allow to increase salaries almost for 5 million citizens. And, by estimates of the authorities, the minimum wage rate more than for 14% will exceed level of a living wage. Along with it senators approved indexation of insurance pensions for 7,5% and adopted the law on the federal budget the next three years.
