At the stage Grand Chess Tour in Saint Louis started lighting tournament. In the first day of competitions the Russian chess player Ian Aleksandrovich Nepomnyashchy won six of nine parties. The Russian was stronger than Robson Ray, Fibiano Karuana, Geoffrey Syun, Maxime Vashye-Lagrav, Samuel Sevyan and Le Kwan of Lyem. Ten grand masters take part in tournament.
