In 2001 devices NASA making scanning of the desert island near Antarctica, in Atlanticheskogookean's southern part, found an unusual thermal signal which caused interest among scientists. Deeply in an unexplored volcano traces of the lava lake that was quite unusual occurrence as on Earth only seven similar lava lakes are known were found out.
