To whom war in Afghanistan was necessary?

Already many years the subject of the Afghan war is used as zhupel for attack to the Soviet period of history of our country. The strange picture in which gone crazy from love of power and hatred to people members of the Central Committee of CPSU sent crowds of young people to certain death to any desert far and nobody necessary is drawn. The whole generation of soldiers - "Afghans" (soldiers internationalists as them called in Soviet period) fell a victim of an anti-Soviet political environment.
