In two regions Kazakhstan suspended oil production because of problems with power supply

On July 3, 2023, 19:56 — Public news service — OSN the Press service the national oil and gas companies Kazakhstan Joint-stock company "National company "KazMunayGaz" on Monday, July 3, reported about a suspension oil production on several fields. Oil production was suspended on fields of JSC Ozenmunaygaz, JSC Mangistaumunaygaz, JSC Karazhanbasmunay, JSC Embamunaygaz in Mangistausky and Atyrausky areas. It is specified that it was connected with power unit shutdown at Mangistausky nuclear power combine. Work on wells will be resumed in process of supply of electricity, added in the press service.
