The movie "Burnt by the Sun" of the director and the actor Nikita Mikhalkov left in 1994. Details of shootings of an Oscar-winning Post-Soviet picture became known. Nikita Mikhalkov created a tape together with the French film figures. One of producers became Seydu Michelle which worked over movies "Urga — the Love Territory" and "The Barber of Siberia". The director started scripting in a co-authorship with Rustam Ibragimbekov in May, 1993. In a year "Burnt by the Sun" was shown on Cannes international film festival.
