Russian Federation entered sanctions against the operator of German of UGS Catharina

The German company Erdgasspeicher Peissen Gmbh serving underground gas storage (UGS) Catharina in the east of Germany, got under the Russian sanctions. According to the governmental decree, concerning the organization "special economic measures" will be applied. The Catharina project was realized by PUBLIC JOINT-STOCK COMPANY "GAZPROM" together with the German Verbundnetz Gas AG in 2015 near the city of Bernburg. Available capacity of gas storage makes about 520 million cubic meters.
