Moscow, on May 17 – Federal state unitary enterprise RAMI "RIA Novosti". The Eretriysky bicycle racer Binyam Girmay from the Intermarche team – Wanty – Gobert Materiaux won the tenth stage of a multi-day race "Dzhiro of d' Italy". Stage 196 km long distance from Pescara in Dzhezi Girmay overcame in 4 hours 32 minutes 7 seconds. Girmay became the first black bicycle racer and the first eritreyets who has won the stage "Dzhiro". Also this victory became the first on La Corsa Rosa since 1979 for the African bicycle racers after success of South African Alan van Herden.
