In Yekaterinburg the monument to children whom in days of the Great Patriotic War evacuated to the Urals is open. About it reported to journalists in city department of information policy. The ceremony took place on May 6. There is a monument in the downtown, in the square near a gymnasium No. 9. This place was chosen not incidentally, near the square in 1941-1943 there lived in evacuation the poetess Barto Agniya. The idea of installation of a monument was supported also by her daughter Shcheglyaeva Tatyana who was in evacuation together with the mother, the grandmother and the elder brother.
