The storm and a heavy snowfall fell upon the East and the West of Turkey

The heavy snowfall in east and western provinces of Turkey blocked roads, and some ferry transportations, planned for Bozchaad and Gekchead's islands in the Aegean Sea, were cancelled because of an expected storm. Blizzards captured east regions of Turkey where because of features of climate the winter is especially severe in comparison with other regions. Snow continued to fall periodically upon the region, especially in mountain areas, and blocked roads in the centers of the cities and round them.
