During 1500 on a seabed of the island of Portitksol in Jávea one of the largest collections of the Roman gold coins found in Spain and Europe was stored. Gold solidy in number of 53 pieces, the IV century dated by the end and the beginning of the V century, that is the late Roman period, recently were found on a seabed in the southeast of Spain. Experts estimated the general condition of coins as excellent and could identify all coins, except for one.
