The Canadian thermonuclear startup General Fusion Inc involved new financing from the founder of the Shopify Internet service

The Canadian company General Fusion Inc declared on January 14 attraction of financings from new investors Thistledown Capital, the firm founded by the founder of Shopify by Tobias Luthcke and his wife Fiona Makkin. This investment will support creation of demonstration installation General Fusion Inc which will show technology thermonuclear synthesis with magnetic targets ("Magnetised Target Fusion", "MTF") on the scale of full-fledged power plant.
