Embassy Sweden announced competition on creation of articles about women in "Wikipedia"

The embassy Sweden to Russian Federation together with "Vikimedia RU" is started by the WikiGap project (from English Gender Gap – "a gender gap") – an online marathon on writing of articles about outstanding women in "Wikipedia". Competition will last till May 8. About about men in "Wikipedia" several times it is more than articles, than about women, and practically in all language versions. For example, in English in Wikipedia less than 20% of articles about a personnel are devoted to women, and the number of articles about women in Russian makes only 15%.
