One of the streets in Amman is named in honor of Abai
Culminating the series of cultural events of Kazakhstan’s Embassy in Jordan in commemoration of 175th anniversary of the Great Kazakh poet and enlightener Abai Kunanbaiuly, the opening ceremony of Abai street took place in Amman on December 30, 2020. In his speech, Ambassador Aidarbek Toumatov noted that the assignment of the name of Abai to one of the central streets of the Jordanian capital is another confirmation of friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Jordan, as well as evidence of the high level of cooperation between the sister cities - Nur-Sultan and Amman.
