Ten years ago in Taganrog down the street Chekhov the new monument – to the barefoot boy standing on a gray granite boulder was open. The sculpture was established in anniversary year Chekhov Anton Pavlovich (150 years since the birth of the writer). At that time in the city there were monuments: "The person in a case", "Thick and thin", "The Egyptian pyramid" and "The novel with a contrabass".
