Leonid Kravchuk told about desire of Ukrainians to remain with Russian Federation

Ukrainians did not want to separate completely from Russian Federation in 1991, the first President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk declared. According to him, after a referendum in 1991 it tried to find out why Ukrainians so actively voted for independence. It appeared that inhabitants of the country "thought that Ukraine will be independent, but with Russian Federation"...
