Alexander Cheferin talked to the president of Federation of soccer of Faroe Islands (FAF) Andreasen Christian about importance of the program helps UEFA HatTrick which gives to the Faroese soccer important support.
Also the president of UEFA met the prime minister Faroe Islands Axelle Vilkhelmson Yokhannesen and the mayor of the Faroese capital Tórshavn Olsen Annika.
Faroe Islands is a group of 18 small islands which are between Scotland and Iceland. The population of the country makes 50 thousand people, and nearly a half lives in Tórshavn.
Soccer - the most popular sport on Faroe Islands. In the 1988th FAF entered FIFA, and on April 18, 1990 became the member of UEFA.
"I am incredibly glad tothat arrived here and the eyes saw how local soccer develops, - Alexander Cheferin noted. - FAF sets a fine example of other small national associations. Here the clever, concentrated and laborious work on development soccer" is conducted.
