Xi Jinping noted that successful carrying out the Beijing summit of the Forum of the Chinese-African cooperation became the convincing proof of that almost all African countries are friends China ". We welcome return of São Tomé and Príncipe in a family of the Chinese-African friendly cooperation", - Xi Jinping told. He noted that after restoration of diplomatic relations between China and São Tomé and Príncipe in December, 2016 both countries conducted effective cooperation in various directions and it means that restoration of diplomatic relations completely is equitable to radical interests of the people of two countries.
Xi Jinping declared that China approves commitment of the prime minister of São Tomé and Príncipe to the principle of one China. China is ready to become the loyal friend and the reliable partner for São Tomé and Príncipe on his way of developments, to support the country in social and economic development, and also to continue to give each other support in the questions concerning mutual key interests and serious concerns.
Patrice Emery Trovoada congratulated the Chinese party on successful carrying out the Beijing summit of the Forum of the Chinese-African cooperation, having reminded that São Tomé and Príncipe for the first time was present at the summit. It assured that São Tomé and Príncipe is ready to work together with other interested parties over creation of closer community of uniform destiny China and Africa.
of Premieres also noted that the facts confirm fidelity of the decision on restoration of diplomatic relations of São Tomé and Príncipe with China. The country firmly adheres to the principle of one China and will make efforts for deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation with China in social and economic area.
