For the last six weeks of a flood on the Mekong River in Cambodia carried away 32 lives, including 15 children. About it reported on Monday the representative of National committee on disaster management Keo Vee.

According to him, six provinces along the Mekong River, namely Province of Stung Treng, Kratyekh, Tbong Khmum, Province of Kampong Cham, Province of Prey Veng, and Province of Kandal, suffered from river flood.

According to him, floods affected nearly 100 thousand families, having compelled 8963 families to be evacuated for heights. Besides, more than 23 thousand hectares of rice fields and 3100 hectares of other crops are destroyed.
