Sergey Tishchenkov: "We hope for long friendship with Finns"

at the beginning of August in Pervomaisk the settlement passed a traditional Finnish holiday of "KIHUT". And signing of bilateral contracts between the settlement and Kangasala preceded it. The head of administration of May Day JV <1> Sergey Tishchenkov told about action and value of the signed document Leningrad regional information company "Lenoblinform" .

– Tishchenkov Sergei Ivanovich, what noted in Pervomaisk the settlement on August 5?

is there was the fifth holiday of "KIHUT" which is carried out in our territory. Something festival is similar for habitual days of settlements – creative collectives, musicians, artists, handicraftsmen participate in actions, inhabitants put on in national suits. In honor of the community basis Finns spend these holidays annually. We noted anniversaries. However, there was it everything informally therefore I consulted to the head of the area and insisted on the conclusion of contracts.

– What history of the friendly relations with Kangasala?

– the Finnish community of arrival Kivennapa once took place in the territory of the present May Day settlement. In 1939 locals moved to Finland, but the homeland did not forget. As soon as there was an opportunity, they began to come to these regions, and the society "Kivennapa" made friends with our Palace of culture.

I here on June 1 this year really historical event took place, perhaps. We arrived to Kangasala on a meeting with the mayor Oskari Auvinen where it, I and the head of the May Day settlement Kurnosov Vladimir delivered to the signature under contract, fixing our friendly relations.

Also to us organized a sightseeing tour, showed the art museum, school, factory. Finns are very hospitable.

– That gives signing of contracts?

– Signing of bilateral Contracts on establishment of contacts between two made related municipalities – between our May Day rural settlement and Kangasala is, first of all, the cooperation agreement. We are on friendly terms long ago, but now we have the lawful bases for joint organization of events, for developments tourism, social services, the sports sphere, art, educations.

We were already said to

that children from the May Day settlement will go to Finland on basketball competitions among small children. And in the fall to us on a visit there will arrive chapter Kangasala – we will surely organize heartiest welcome, we will conduct tour.

We build our relations on the principles of trust and equal partnership and we hope that the friendship with Finns will be long, productive and interesting to all parties.
