27 people were lost, seven were missing as a result of floods and landslides in Vietnam

Hanoi, 24 July/Xinhua / - 27 people in the central and northern regions Vietnam became victims of heavy rains, floods and the landslides caused by the typhoon "Shontin" / Son-Tinh/, seven more were missing, 26 were traumatized. About it reported on Tuesday the Central steering committee on prevention and control natural disasters of the country.

of 13 people six were lost to northern Province of Yen Bai, - to Shonl's northern Province of Son La, on three persons - to Futkho's northern Province of Phu Tho and the central Province of Thanh Hoa, on one - in northern provinces of Lao Cai and Province of Hoa Binh respectively.

To Province of Yen Bai 4 persons, to Province of Thanh Hoa - two, in Province of Phu Tho - one more were missing. The majority of victims live to Province of Yen Bai.

Because of a typhoon of 243 houses were destroyed, 6,9 thousand more are flooded, 6,5 thousand heads of cattle and about 115 thousand poultry were lost, 6,2 thousand hectares of aquacultural ponds and 81 thousand hectares of crops of rice are damaged.

According to the forecast of meteorologists, in northern areas Vietnam heavy rains and strong winds will remain on Tuesday and Wednesday.
