Powers of the deputy City Duma of Nizhny Novgorod Oleg Sorokin can be stopped ahead of schedule because of the violation of the anti-corruption legislation allowed by it. The matter was discussed on April 23 at meeting of the constant commission on local government. As it was established during public prosecutor's checking, in 2016 Oleg Sorokin took an interest-free loan on 9 million rubles and did not specify this fact in the certificate of the income, expenses and obligations of property character which it provided to the head of the region through City Council.
