In 2011 Matvey Pavlovich Yeliseev for the first time tried biathlon, having declared from Zelenograd sports school on superiority of the capital. After these competitions the father undertook preparation Matvey Pavlovich Yeliseev – Konstantinovich Pawel. In 2012 Matvey Pavlovich Yeliseev managed to execute the standard of the master of sports, and in a year the Zelenograd biathlonist as a part of the junior national team (athletes till 21 year) went on the World Cup where took the 5th place in sprint race (7,5 km and two firing lines) and the 7th place in prosecution (15 km and four firing lines). After these starts it was invited in the youth national team Russian Federation. In January 2015 Matvey Pavlovich Yeliseev debuted on the World Cup, having taken the 17th place in sprint. In 2016 as a part of the national team Russian Federation (Zagoruyko Anastasia, Yakushova Olga, Matvey Pavlovich Yeliseev, Eugenie Aleksandrovich Garanichev) became Champion Europe in the mixed relay. In a season 2016/2017 with partners in team won two silver on the World Cup in relay (men, 4kh7,5 km). The best result in the career – the 6th place in mass start. The season 2017/2018 carried out in the main national team, had an opportunity to act on the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.
