X the International open youthful competition pianists of Barents-regiona of the composer Vavilov Gennady will pass within cultural cooperation and is directed on identification of talented young musicians, fixing of the best traditions of musical pedagogics, acquaintance with modern methods of teaching in musical educational institutions, and also drawing attention to music of the known Karelian composer G. A. Vavilov. B competition pupils and students of musical educational institutions can take part, and also young performers, whose level of preparation allows to execute the competitive program. on four age categories: I group, younger, 8–10 years; II group, average, 11–14 years; III group, senior, 15–18 years; IV group, youth, 19 years-24 years.
