the Group of the Danish scientists revealed communication between growth of children and the increased risk of a stroke at adult age. According to research, children, whose growth was less than an average age value on 5–7 centimeters, suffered various types of a stroke a decade later more often. Researchers consider that in some cases small growth can be a consequence of the same risk factors that lead to development a stroke: some infections, stress and features of a diet.

the Material for work became kogortny research with participation of 311 009 Danes. Information on all inhabitants of the country who been born in the period from 1930 to 1989 and have been admitted to school in Copenhagen Municipality where the capital of Denmark enters also got to this data set. School students passed inspections with measurement of growth at the age of 7, 10 and 13 years.

Scientists investigated growth communication in the childhood with two types of violations developing generally at advanced age: ischemic stroke and intracerebral hemorrhage. 10 412 Danes suffered from an ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage found at 2 546. At those who lagged behind in growth average values of contemporaries on 2 inches (5 centimeters), the risk of developments was higher than an ischemic stroke on the average for 11%. The reason of this disease — violation of blood supply of a brain because of which cells of brain fabrics perish.

Communication between growth and an ischemic stroke found both in men, and in women, and interdependence of growth and probability of intracerebral hemorrhage found only at men. Thus the speed with which boys and girls added in growth during the period from 7 to 13 years, did not influence risk of developments diseases.

Researchers explain to

during pregnancy. Authors of work say that growth of the child can be considered as an important marker of possible risk of cardiovascular diseases. They recommend to parents of low children to pay special attention to their food and stress level.
