Since 1977 ensemble the national actor Russian Federation, the composer Romanov Youri (1945 – 2015) directed. Today the director of collective is the honored actress Russian Federation Kovrigina Anna. The repertoire basis of "The Voronezh girls" is made by folklore of the Central Chernozem region, popular Russian national and author's songs.
