The LRT project in Astana was included in the "One Belt — One Way" program

Passed in Beijing the first international economic forum "One belt – one way" designated priorities China on interstate economic cooperation. Representatives more than 100 countries within two days of May discussed initiatives of the management China which were for the first time sounded in the fall of 2013 during Xi Jinping to Kazakhstan and Indonesia. Among heads of the largest states which have arrived on a forum, there was also a President Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

From projects in the movie distinguished in the separate line construction of system of the easily rail tram (LRT) in Astana. LRT worth nearly 2 billion dollars system in the capital Kazakhstan will consist of 18 modern stations, 19 units of a rolling stock and one depot. The first stage 22,4 kilometers long according to the plan will connect such key objects as the International airport Astana, a specialized exhibition of the EXPO, a multipurpose complex" Abu Dhabi Plaz" and the new railway station "Nrla zhol".

The initiative "One belt – one way" became a new paradigm of the regional and global development, the new scheme of cooperation".

Besides, Nursultan Nazarbayev called

LRT Construction project in the capital Kazakhstan has long and quite confused history . Unfortunately, it will not be realized by the beginning EXPO-2017, but recently there were doubts that at Akimat of City of Astana in general there is an interest it to realize. Situation, probably, difficult as the Chinese companies in the letter Kazakhstan even complained to the President that to them in general LRT in Astana prevent to build. The akimat, however, reports that construction began in the stipulated terms.
