"Such irresponsible statements of one of heads of the Lithuanian state Lithuania do to p harm to interests. The main interest Lithuania — to aspire to that the Belarusian nuclear power plant was never constructed because in present conditions it is impossible to guarantee that it was constructed safe" — the politician explained.

According to him, it is necessary to initiate as soon as possible negotiations of chapters Lithuania and Belarus: "Today for this purpose favorable conditions: the relations Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin worsen, Alexander Lukashenko even more often look at the West. It is very probable that because of the worsening relations Russian Federation can interrupt financing of constantly rising in price Belarusian nuclear power plant". "Lithuania could offer Belarus regional decisions as it would be possible to solve state problems in the power sphere if such actually exist, without nuclear power plant construction, for example, by expansion of power of biofuel and other renewing sources" — Linas Balsis told.

According to him, the national agreement signed by seven parties concerning joint actions at the solution of questions of the Belarusian nuclear power plant — a political signal Belarus, but it is necessary to undertake more active actions: "The parties which have signed the agreement, undertook to support in common the bill concerning restriction of the electric power, made at unsafe power plants of the third countries. It is a political signal Belarus that Lithuania will not buy unsafe energy, but would be naive to believe that it will stop construction".
