To Nigeria in Uyo as a result of a collapse of a roof of church on Saturday, December 10, at least 160 people were lost. According to the director of hospital of local university, mortuaries are already overflowed. But the final number of victims, according to him, can be much higher. At the same time, as it became known, many bodies were delivered in private mortuaries.

Incident happened during a ceremony of dedication of the bishop of local church. As notes information agency "Associated Press", church completed in a hurry to be in time to a ceremony. Metal designs of which it was made a building roof, fell in half an hour after the church service beginning. The bishop, and also the governor who was present at a ceremony of staff State of Akwa Ibom in whom Uyo is located, did not suffer.

As the journalist Dzhoin Inform Rudnitskaya Maria notes, local authorities promised to make careful investigation. During investigative actions it is planned to establish, whether norms were broken during construction.

Let's add that in the country the building collapse, unfortunately, is not an unusual occurrence. In most cases similar incidents happen because of high level of corruption, low-quality materials and negligence during construction works.
