The diet increased a tax on vehicle operation

Diet on Wednesday supported the bills providing cancellation of a tax on cars and motorcycles with simultaneous increase of rates of a tax on operation of the vehicle in final reading. Also for new cars (made after 2009) the rate will be differentiated on the volume of emissions.

For cars, from 51 to 95 g on km the rate will make 12 euros, from 96 to 115 g on km — 48 euros, from 116 to 130 g on km — 84 euros, from 131 to 155 g on km — 120 euros, from 156 to 175 g on km — 144 euros, from 176 to 200 g on m — 168 euros, from 201 to 250 g on km — 264 euros, from 251 to 300 g on km — 408 euros, from 301 to 350 g on km — 552 euros, over 350 g on km — 756 euros.

Support was got by the proposal of deputies Paradnieks Imant , Bite Inga and Dambe Valters about a 50% discount for a tax for vehicle operation for the cars belonging to members of large families.

Also the Diet adopted amendments that to Latvia is authorized to move on the cars registered abroad, paying for it a tax. The tax in one day will make 10 euros, in a month — 250 euros, in a year — 1000 euros.
