Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The first criminal case for theft of the personal given citizens from systems of mobile network operators is brought in Azerbaidjan.
toAs are reported by the Prosecutor General's Office, criminal case is in common investigated by the Service of State Security (SSS) and the Prosecutor General's Office. Within investigation are already arrested the chief engineer of Bakcell Ltd Ismailov Shakhin, the call center operator of Azerfon mobile network operator Akhmedli Fuad and the operator of service of clients of Azercell Telecom Musaev Etibar as performers, and also Gasymov Vugar and other persons as customers. Till August 18 this group of persons was engaged in theft of the personal given citizens from systems of mobile network operators – biographical particulars of subscribers, stories of their calls. Also the classified information on an arrangement of antennas of cellular communication and about provided for their placement of a place citizens was stolen.
Against suspected citizens brought criminal case under articles 302.1 (violation of the law about operational search activity) and 308.1 (abuse of official position). Article 302.1 application to civilians is connected with that the law allows access to stolen by them given only in interests of operational search activity and that only on a special judgment.
