The Kazakhstan boxer Levit Vasilii, acting in weight category to 91 kilograms, won a silver medal of 2016 Summer Olympics, reports Sports.kz.
Levit Vasilii conceded in the final to the Russian Tishchenko Eugenie the unanimous decision of judges 0:3 (28:29, 28:29, 28:29). In the third round the duel was interrupted as Tishchenko Eugenie gave medical help. After renewal of fight Levit Vasilii put some series of blows, but unexpectedly judges gave a victory Tishchenko Eugenie. The hall met the announcement of a victory of the Russian deafening whistle, notes Vesti.kz.
The medal Levit Vasilii became the ninth national team in a moneybox Kazakhstan. Earlier domestic athletes won two "gold" (the weight-lifter Nizhat Rakhimov and the swimmer Balandin Dimitri), two "silver" (the judoist Smetov Yeldos and the weight-lifter Zhazira Zhapparkul), and also four "bronze" (the athlete Rypakova Olga, the judoist Otgontsetseg Galbadrakh, weight-lifters Kharki Farkhad and Goricheva Karina).
In medal offset Kazakhstan takes now the 15th place.
