At a distance in 100 meters butterfly stroke Singaporean Joseph Skuling bypassed the well-known American swimmer Felps Michael and won a gold medal.

21-year Skuling, having won first place, sent to the second line at once three athletes who have shown identical time (51,14 seconds): American Felps Michael, South African of Chad Gaya Bertrán le Clo and Hungarian Chekh Laslo the Jr.

"I cannot still believe in it. I am overflowed by emotions. I do not know, in what to trust: that I really won competition, or that I still prepare for it. I think, it is necessary for me couple of days to realize that occurred", - Joseph Skuling told.

It won for Singapore the gold medal first in the history of the country.
