"It in six years was taken to me by mother. I then worked in school of the Olympic reserve. Mother brought him and the brother. They were such small, now I remember and I pay. I looked at mother - she high, and boys had to be high and when the father of two-meter growth came, doubts did not remain. The father told:" It is necessary that he seriously was engaged". Balandin Dimitri laid down at once on a breast stroke and floated. I taught him to elements. As I worked not at children's sports school, in two years transferred him to other trainer, but all the same watched it. On character it quiet, and so was quiet that will give it a task to float – he swims, never argued and did not talk almost. Good boy. Certainly, it had all prerequisites to become the Olympic champion since the childhood. Look what it became – high, beautiful and, the most important, he is the talented boy. Such happen time in hundred years", - Petrova Ludmila noted.
According to the trainer, the big contribution to sports career Balandin Dimitri was brought by his parents. They believed in talent of the son and always gave it big support. Petrova Ludmila admitted that she, being some years on pension, all the same continues to watch progress of the ward.
"I so supported today it that at me pressure rose. I am 71 years old, and I so was ill for it, so was ill that words are not present... It entered the final the eighth. I think, well at least the third or the fourth has to be, and it here is how floated. Well done! I am very glad. Mother it always calls me and congratulates when he wins competitions. Worked as the trainer, was quite ordinary, and here such miracle in life occurred", - the woman added.
In a zaveresheniye Petrova Ludmila addressed to the new Olympic champion and wished it health, progress and big achievements in sports.

Balandin Dimitri was born on April 4, 1995 in Almaty. His father Balandin Igor - the businessman. During students was fond of volleyball. Mother of the athlete Balandina Tatyana in youth played speed sports.
In 2008 Balandin Dimitri arrived to study in GShIOSD to Almaty. Ended study in 2012. Is the finalist of the IV junior World Cup in swimming of 2013.
