At meeting of Civic chamber the first deputy of chapter Administration Gorodskoye districtsKostroma Kostroma region Oleg Bolokhovets and the head of department of city passenger transport Administration Gorodskoye districtsKostroma Kostroma region Sergei Nikolaevich Pushkin submitted the route scheme which will work in Kostroma since October 1.
The existing scheme of movement of public transport developed historically and at a time did not change never. Emergence on city routes of private carriers was accompanied by the rigid competition among them. It gradually led to uneven development of a route network, non-compliance by carriers of the schedules, dangerous driving of drivers of the "minibuses", the overflowed salons. According to the new scheme of movement from the central highways minibuses will leave. Them will replace with transport of bigger capacity. So journey for passengers becomes more comfortable and safer. To all residential districts Kostroma including new, transport routes will be laid. Besides, citizens will be able to use privileges practically in all public transport, and not just municipal. This measure of social support will act 33 of 40 routes. For three it it will be entered next year.
For violations of the schedule of movement of carriers heavy fines wait. "It will help to avoid a present situation when on some routes private traders use "rush hour" for collecting revenue and do not come to the line in the evening", - Oleg Bolokhovets emphasized.
That inhabitants of the regional center could be guided in traffic schemes, members of Civic chamber suggested to conduct active information campaign. For example, to hang out leaflets with the detailed description of routes at bus stops. And it is obligatory to explain to children at schools the new scheme of movement of minibuses and buses.
- We see that introduction of new operating conditions of public transport, is aimed on increase in comfort and safety for passengers. The main thing – interests of inhabitants are at the center put.
