23 new cases of infection of wild boars of AChS are revealed to Latvia last week. About it reports Information company "ITAR-TASS" with reference to the statement of food and veterinary service of the country.
In department noted that cases of infection of wild animals Latvia, including in close to the Russian border to Kurzema and Latgale are recorded in various regions.
The African plague of pigs was found and on pig farm in Municipality of Varkava - 50 pigs, the majority of them - pigs here will be liquidated. Since September, 2015 it is the country's first case of flash of AChS among domestic pigs. Now round a zone of infection quarantine is entered.
Last year because of AChS it was necessary to slaughter 213 pigs into <"3"> Latvia, and in 2014 - 564. For only Dva years epidemic captured nearly a half of the territory of the state and now comes nearer to Riga. Since the beginning of 2016 this disease is revealed at 667 boars.
