The sixth day of the World Ice Hockey Championship 2016 came to the end in Russia. The day before at stadiums of Petersburg and Moscow passed four meetings between eight national teams: Switzerland, Latvia, Slovakia, Belarus, Finland, Hungary, Sweden, Kazakhstan.
Switzerland — Latvia
Successful for the national team of Switzerland game took place in Moscow on May 11. Following the results of a meeting the team from Switzerland beat Latvia with the score 5:4. Almost until the end of the third period the account between the national teams was equal, however the decisive washer in one and a half minutes prior to a whistle was thrown by Eric Blum — 58:31. At Switzerland also on a double issued Nino Niderraiter (23:33, 26:06) and Mikelis Redlikhs (33:24, 37:23). At Latvia washers Hoffman (28:30), Keninsh (38:36), Andrigetto (45:56) and Shirokov (46:22) caused a stir.
by results of a meeting the national team of Latvia appeared on the last place in group A with two points in an asset, and Swisses bypassed Russia on points and now are on the third line with 7 points.
Slovakia — Belarus
the Unexpected victory ended with p for Belarusians a meeting with the national team of Slovakia on the Petersburg ice "Anniversary". Game came to the end with the score 2:4. The first two washers Knights issued Tatra mountains — on the 21st minute Andrey Sekera, on the 37th minute Thomas Yurko. Further good luck appeared at Belarusians who threw four washers in gate of opponents. (43 Kirill Gotovets, 49 Artur Gavrus, 55 Andrey Stepanov, 58 Charles Lingle).
Slovakia is on the third line of group B. In its asset of 6 points. And the national team of Belarus following the results of a prize appeared on penultimate, the seventh, a place.
Finland — Hungary
Other meeting of participants of group B was more predictable. The leader of group - the national team of Finland - dry bypassed team of Hungary which is on the last line of standings. The meeting came to the end with the score 3:0. Washers at Finns marked out Atte Okhtamaa, Mikko Koyvu and Alexander Barkov.
Finns who yet did not lose any meeting, have in a stock of 12 points. The national team of Hungary, unfortunately, yet did not win any point.
Sweden — Kazakhstan
On capital ice the day before took place a meeting of Swedes and hockey players from Kazakhstan. Game came to the end with a devastating score in favor of athletes from Sweden — 7:3. As a part of winners Gustav Nuekwist issued a hat trick, on a washer Mikael Baklund, Linus Klasen, Adam Larsson and Alexander Vennberg threw. At Kazakhstan Dustin Boyd, Vladimir Markelov and Roman Savchenko caused a stir.
Sweden is in group A on the second line with 8 points. Kazakhstan with one victory and two points settled down on a penultimate line.
