Estonia reduced export by a third because of the Russian embargo

The Russian embargo led to reduction of export of Estonian dairy products almost on a third. About it writes "Interfax" with reference to the Ministry of rural life of Estonia.

Export of dairy products in 2015 was reduced, according to the ministry, on 30,5% or in terms of money by 133,5 million euros. Last time such low level of export was registered in 2009.

"In a situation when in Estonia make milk and dairy products it is more, than it is consumed, reduction of a share of export is a threat sign", - the head of department of trade and processing of agricultural products Taavi Kand considers.

Estonia hopes for the help to sector the grants promised by the European Union to agrarian sector of 110 million euros from which 30 million euros will go to the projects connected with dairy and pig-breeding sectors can.

The dairy sector of the country made in 2015 of production on 289,8 million euros or for 14,6 million euros less, than in 2014. Income of sector made 336,8 million euros or was 14,7% less, than year before.

Total income of dairy sector was especially reduced in the last quarter 2015 when losses in 724 thousand euros were registered.
