On March 31 in a reading room of Safonovsky central regional library the festive event devoted to the 85 anniversary of a release of the first issue of the regional newspaper took place.
Colleagues, friends and constant readers " of the Safonovsky truth " were going to congratulate the regional newspaper on so significant milestone.
Words of congratulations were heard from the member of the Union of journalists and the Union of writers of Russia, the Winner of the All-Russian literary award of A.T. Tvardovsky and a literary award of M. V. Isakovsky Valeriya Rudnitskogo, the chairman of SPK of Uritsky, the Honourable citizen of the Smolensk region and the Safonovsky area V.D. Komarova, the deputy of Smolensk region duma A.I. Stankov, the Deputy Glava of municipality " the Safonovsky area " the Smolensk region – managing N. D. Vodneva's affairs, the chairman of Safonovsky regional council of deputies, the secretary of Safonovsky local office of VPP " United Russia " T.A. Belousova, the decent Safonovsky church district of the archpriest Sergiya Zelenkov, representatives of the leading safonovsky enterprises and the organizations which are actively cooperating with the regional newspaper.
The representatives who have taken part in action of Department of the Smolensk region on domestic policy – the deputy head of department of public relations and information policy – the head of department of work L.G. Kulaga, the head of department of work with the A.P subordinated organizations. Korneenkov handed over to edition collective for a big contribution to development of regional journalism the Letter of thanks of the Governor of the Smolensk region A.V. Ostrovsky, to the editor-in-chief to Tatyana Petrovna Prikhodko – the Certificate of honor of Administration of the Smolensk region.
As to the edition conducting purposeful work on promotion of family values, the special diploma of Fund of Andrew the First-Called was also transferred to edition.

This day congratulations accepted not only the newspaper current version, but also those who stood at the origins of the edition, formed the newspaper, gained his authority in previous years – V.A. Chumakov, V.A. Zhuravskaya, other journalists and the employees who have become for the modern rayonka team teachers both in a profession, and in life.
In the general opinion of readers of the newspaper and journalistic community of Smolensk region today " the Safonovsky truth " - one of the best regional newspapers of the Smolensk region. And though for years of the existence the edition repeatedly changed the name, but invariable it was necessary – to be its mission together with people, to help safonovets with the solution of the most important problems, at all times to remain a reliable source of information.
