Daimler increases release volumes 9G-Tronic

The German car maker Daimler began production of automatic transmissions 9G-Tronic at the Romanian plant in Sebeshe. To satisfy a growing demand for the Mercedes models with an automatic transmission, Daimler expanded output power for 9G-TRONIC and started them letting out at the plant in Romania.

Daimler invests more than 300 million euros in creation of additional capacities and to create about 1000 additional workplaces at the Romanian enterprise Star Assembly. At present about 1800 people work at two production sites in Romania. At plants make cogwheels and shaft, and also mechanically processed details for engines, transmissions and steering systems. Here the technological center and educational institution settle down.

The first seven-step automatic transmissions were made in Sebeshe in 2014. Nine-step "machine gun" 9G-TRONIC will be intended for such models as E-Class or GLE of a compartment and, in the next years, it will be used almost in all Mercedes-Benz cars with is longitudinal the installed engine.

Installation of such box, most likely. Will lead and to some rise in price of models.
