On Monday, February 29, passed congress "Right cause" on which the business ombudsman Boris Titov was elected the chairman. The chairman of the Amur regional office of party Victor Cheremisin visited action and told "To Ekho Moskvy in Blagoveshchensk" about trip results.
At congress presented 73 regions. "I consider that it more than is enough. The quorum is approved. In credentials committee of power of all delegates are confirmed", – Victor Cheremisin told.
Following the results of congress the business ombudsman Boris Titov was elected the party leader. Until the end of March "Right cause" it intends to carry out the second congress at which the election program will be approved and the question of the new name is solved. It is quite possible that the party will keep the old name.
"Naturally, as well as at any normal party, an ambition of Right cause party are not limited to only the State Duma. Actually ambitions extend on elections of all levels – on municipal, regional and so on", – the chairman answered a question "Ekho Moskvy in Blagoveshchensk" on party intentions.
"Is unexpected that rather correct atmosphere at congress. Actually there are no scandals which were anyway announced in the press. Work goes structurally. It is possible to call surprise change of the chairman. But it too passes structurally and in dialogue, instead of in confrontation. Vyacheslav Maratkanov remained the vice-president of the head of party, the member of political council of the party. In my opinion, from the unexpected – there are a lot of representatives of other parties – United Russia party members, "Party of professionals", "Business Russia" and other representatives who joined structure. I think that it is the positive moment which will lead to strengthening of a position of our party", – the politician reported.
